Neighborly disputes over property lines are as old as time. From February 2-26, GALA Hispanic Theatre in DC is presenting Jardin Salvaje, or Native Gardens, written and adapted by Karen Zacarias. I recently spoke with Ms. Zacarias and director Rebecca Aparicio about the production and how the show is about the clash of both generations and cultures.
However, that famous comedy troupe’s influence can definitely be felt in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Dundalk Community Theatre’s current production. The show won the Tony award for Best Musical in 2014 and also nods to Gilbert and Sullivan, Charles Dickens, and perhaps even Downton Abbey. Earlier this week, I spoke with director Todd Pearthree about this most unusual musical comedy, which runs through November 3.

Cohesion Theatre Company and The Strand Theatre Company have joined forces to present the Baltimore premiere of The Pillow Book by Anna Moench.
