2-3-14 Word On Wine Review Greece and Burgundy…Together again!

This week Mary and I review two white wines.  One from the Macon in Burgundy and the other from the Pelopenisian hills of Greece!

1)2011 Domaine Pollier Macon Village.  $13.  Welcome to Southern Burgundy.  Great Chardonnay at a great price!  Not California Chardonnay but a really nice grippy mine rally wine.  There are great bargains to be found all over Burgundy…Check them out!

2)2011 Domaine Skouras “Zoe”, Roditis-Moscofilero.  WHAT!  OK Welcome to Greece!  More specifically to the Peloponnese!  This was a crisp white wine made up of two grapes Roditis 70% and Moscofilero 30%.  $14.  This was a real pleasure like so many Greek wines these days.  Buy a bottle and head out to Sam0s in Greek Town for a great meal.  Crisp clean and clear.  Goes great with grilled seafood!
